Returns Policy

Redacted Tactical Supply (“RTS”) sells professional-grade firearms, NFA items, optics, accessories, and tactical equipment. Because a substantial portion of our inventory is regulated, age-restricted, or subject to federal and state law, our return policy is more restrictive than a typical e-commerce store. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Items That Are Final Sale (No Returns Accepted)

  • All firearms, including stripped lowers, complete rifles, and complete pistols, once a transfer to your FFL has been initiated.
  • All NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, AOWs, MGs) once a Form 3 or Form 4 has been submitted.
  • All ammunition and primers (federal/state shipping regulations prohibit return shipment).
  • Any item that has been used, fired, mounted, installed, modified, or had its factory packaging damaged.
  • Special-order, custom-built, or “Sell To Us” buyback items.

2. Items Eligible for Return

Non-firearm, non-NFA, non-ammunition accessories and gear may be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery if all of the following are true:

  • The item is in new, unused, uninstalled condition.
  • The item is in original factory packaging with all included parts, manuals, and accessories.
  • You have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by RTS — see Section 4.

3. Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged in shipping, or not what you ordered, contact us within 72 hours of delivery at contact@redactedtacticalsupply.com with photos of the item and packaging. We will work directly with the manufacturer or carrier to resolve the issue. For manufacturer defects discovered after the 72-hour window, we will refer you to the manufacturer’s warranty process.

4. How to Request a Return (RMA Process)

  • Email contact@redactedtacticalsupply.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason.
  • If approved, you will receive an RMA number and return shipping address.
  • Returns received without an RMA number will be refused and returned to sender at your expense.
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or shipped in error.
  • We strongly recommend insured, trackable shipping. RTS is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

5. Restocking Fee

A 15% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns to cover credit card processing, inspection, and reshelving costs. The restocking fee is waived for items that are defective or shipped in error.

6. Refund Processing

Once your returned item is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days back to the original payment method. Authorize.net processing times for credit card refunds are typically 3–5 business days after we initiate the refund.

7. Order Cancellations Before Shipment

Orders may be cancelled for a full refund if the order has not yet shipped and is not for an NFA item with a submitted ATF transfer. NFA items with a submitted Form 3 or Form 4 cannot be cancelled.

8. FFL-Transfer Refusals

If a firearm cannot be transferred to you because you fail your background check (4473 denial), refused at the receiving FFL, or for any other reason, the firearm will be returned to RTS. The customer is responsible for both outbound and return shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
