When you purchase a firearm from Redacted Tactical Supply and you are not local to Arvada, Colorado, the firearm must be transferred to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in your state. Here is how the process works.
Step 1 — Place Your Order
Select the firearm you want and contact us at (970) 463-2486 or contact@redactedtacticalsupply.com to confirm availability and pricing. We will confirm your order and collect payment.
Step 2 — Find a Local FFL Dealer
You will need to identify a licensed FFL dealer near you who will accept the incoming transfer. Most gun stores offer FFL transfer services for a fee (typically $20–$50). Call ahead to confirm they accept transfers and ask for their FFL license information.
Step 3 — Provide Your FFL Dealer’s Information
Send us your receiving FFL dealer’s license copy (or have them email it directly to contact@redactedtacticalsupply.com). We need a signed copy of their current FFL before we can ship. Many dealers are already in our system — just let us know who you are using.
Step 4 — We Ship to the FFL
Once we have a valid FFL on file for your receiving dealer, we ship the firearm directly to them via a licensed carrier. We will provide you with a tracking number. Firearms are shipped in accordance with all federal regulations.
Step 5 — Complete the Transfer at Your Local FFL
When the firearm arrives at your local FFL, they will contact you to come in. You will complete ATF Form 4473 (the federal background check form) and pay your dealer’s transfer fee. Upon approval, the firearm is yours to take home.
Important Notes
Handguns must transfer through an FFL in your state of residence.
Long guns (rifles, shotguns) may transfer through an FFL in any state where the purchase is legal.
Some states have waiting periods or additional state-level background checks — your receiving FFL will inform you.
We will not ship to states where the specific firearm is prohibited.
If your background check is denied, our standard return policy applies. See our Commerce Policies for details.
Local Pickup
If you are local to the Arvada, Colorado area, you are welcome to pick up your firearm in person at our location. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. You will complete Form 4473 on-site. Call ahead to schedule: (970) 463-2486.
Questions?
