Purchasing a suppressor, SBR, SBS, or AOW from Redacted Tactical Supply is straightforward. We walk every customer through the process. Here is what to expect.
Step 1 — Select Your Item
Browse our suppressor and NFA inventory. Once you find the item you want, contact us by phone at (970) 463-2486 or email at contact@redactedtacticalsupply.com to confirm availability and begin the transfer.
Step 2 — Choose Your Registration Method
You can register an NFA item as an Individual or through a Gun Trust (NFA Trust). A trust allows multiple trustees to legally possess the item and simplifies transfers after your passing. We can refer you to a trust attorney if needed — we do not provide legal advice.
Step 3 — Complete ATF Form 4
A Form 4 (ATF Form 5320.4) is required for transferring a suppressor or other NFA item from our dealer inventory to you. We will complete the dealer sections. You will complete the buyer sections, provide two passport photos, and submit fingerprint cards (or use the ATF electronic fingerprinting service).
Step 4 — Pay the Tax Stamp
As of January 1, 2026, the federal NFA tax stamp fee is $0 under H.R.1 (signed July 4, 2025). The Form 4 filing process, fingerprints, photos, and ATF approval are still required.
Step 5 — Wait for ATF Approval
The ATF reviews your Form 4 application. Current wait times vary. We will notify you immediately when your approved Form 4 is returned. Do not attempt to take possession of the item before approval.
Step 6 — Take Possession
Once your Form 4 is approved and returned to us, you may come in to take possession of your item. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Keep the approved tax stamp with the item at all times.
State and Local Law
NFA items are federally legal but some states restrict or prohibit suppressor ownership, SBRs, or other NFA items. It is your responsibility to verify that the item is legal in your jurisdiction. We will not knowingly transfer an item to a prohibited jurisdiction.
